Nancy Scheetz has over 40 years of professional experience in health care, focusing on behavioral health, addiction services, home health care, and hospice. She was CEO of a Connecticut-based non-profit, licensed home care and hospice organization. In that role, she improved quality and increased revenue through innovation initiatives, quality assurance, clinical standards, fiscal management, contract expansion, and board development. 

As an advanced practice nurse, she served eight years at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center and 16 years at Hartford Hospital / The Institute of Living. In these positions, she advanced the role of APRN within both hospitals. She improved intake, assessment, and outpatient procedures, oversaw psychiatric and behavioral health services, and strengthened support for juvenile detention centers and Connecticut Department of Corrections cases.

Scheetz received her master’s degree in nursing from Russel Sage College, Troy, New York, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University. She is a 2015 recipient of the Nightingale Honors for Nursing Excellence Award and a 2022 recipient of the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leader of the Year Award. She serves on numerous boards and actively works in her community to prevent teen suicide and addiction in youth and older citizens and address risk factors in gun violence.
