With more than four decades of leadership in hospice, palliative care, and home health, Jeanne Dennis brings deep operational insight and a people-centered approach to Corcoran Consulting Group clients. Known for her ability to quickly assess organizational culture and operational strengths, Jeanne blends sharp analysis with genuine human connection to support agencies’ continuous improvement, internal alignment, outstanding service, and profitability.
Her consulting strengths lie in operational assessment, team building, interim leadership, project management, and strategic planning. Jeanne excels at identifying where things can break down within an organization—whether it’s culture, process, or leadership clarity—and team with leaders and staff to address challenges. She listens closely, engages authentically, and maps organizations’ current state in plain terms: What happens between referral and admission, how key performance indicators are understood, and how profit aligns with mission.
Jeanne is especially effective at helping organizations support new leaders transitioning from clinical roles to management by helping them clarify financial drivers, performance metrics, and the business fundamentals required for sustainable success. She brings structure to agencies’ Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs and to their certification efforts, offering pathways for existing initiatives that may lack a guiding strategy.
Jeanne served for 17 years as Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Visiting Nurse Service of New York Hospice and Palliative Care, leading it to become the largest hospice provider in New York State. Under her leadership, the program achieved a turnaround from a $3 million loss to a $6 million profit, while launching a six-bed Hospice Residence, a 25-bed Inpatient Unit, a physician fellowship, and a community-based palliative care program.
She has served as Interim Executive Director at Willamette Vital Health (formerly Willamette Valley Hospice in Salem, Ore., Interim Director at NorthBay Health Group Home Health, Hospice, Palliative Care and Adult Day Center, Fairfield, Calif., and Interim Director at University of Vermont Medical Center Hospice and Palliative Care, Burlington, Vt.
Jeanne has held leadership roles on the boards of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the Hospice and Palliative Care Associations of New York and California, and the National Hospice Work Group. Her ability to assess quickly, act strategically, and support teams through change makes her an invaluable resource for clients seeking clarity, alignment, and results.
