What’s My Agency Worth?

Recently, we published an article entitled, “What to Expect When Selling Your Home-Based Care Business.” Today, we want to follow that up with what is probably the number one question that anyone considering selling their home-based care business has… “What’s my agency worth?”
This is a particularly timely question, as we are anticipating that 2025 is going to be a very busy year for mergers and acquisitions.
In fact, we currently have buyers who are actively looking for agencies that are for sale. If you have an agency in the New England area and are considering selling, this could be an excellent opportunity to take that step.
So, that probably takes us right back to the original question, “What’s my agency worth?”
To help give you an idea, we’ve created a simple valuation calculator which provides a formula that will give you a starting point. Naturally, to get a more accurate “sale price” involves several other factors, such as your financial, clinical and operational situation, your brand and position in the marketplace, the state of the marketplace and its trends, as well as other intangibles, such as buyers’ interests and preferences.
